6.4 Loudspeaker Connection Options
The AMP-4750 DSP is able to power a varie of
DALI PHANTOM custom install or hi-fi loudspeakers
and subwoofers. It is by default setup without any
loudspeaker or subwoofer presets installed. If
connecting loudspeakers or subwoofers that require
presets, their installation is described in Section5.3.1 of
this manual.
Each AMP-4750 DSP output channel is able to drive
a maximum of two loudspeakers or subwoofers. If two
loudspeaker or subwoofers are driven by one channel
they must be the same model. Some loudspeaker and
subwoofer connection schemes are illustrated in the
Diagram6B.
NOTE
Diagram6B shows examples of input and output
configurations. Alternative input and output
schemes can be configured via the PHANTOM
AMP CONFIGURATOR interface.
6.5 Speaker Cable Gauge
AMP-4750 DSP loudspeaker connection cable gauge
should be chosen appropriately to reflect the pe of
installation. The adjacent tables speci the appropriate
cable gauge and maximum cable length for less than
0.5dB cable loss in Lo-Z mode and less than 1.0dB cable
loss in Hi-Z mode.

6.6 GPIO Connections
If any AMP-4750 DSP GPIO functionali is
required, cables will need to be connected to the
supplied GPIO connector. Connecting cables to
the GPIO connector is illustrated in Diagram6F.
6.7 Network Connections
The AMP-4750 DSP amplifier is a TCP/IP
network connected device that is configured via
a web page based interface. Wired (Ethernet)
and wireless (WiFi) connection options are
available. Connecting the AMP-4750 DSP
amplifier to a TCP/IP network is described in
Section5 of this manual.
NOTE
The supplied “Euro Block” loudspeaker
connectors can accept up to 2.5mm
2
/ 14 gauge
loudspeaker wire.
The exclamation point printed next to the output terminals of the amplifier is, in addition to the
“CLASS 2 WIRING” text, intended to alert users to the risk of hazardous voltages. Output
connectors that could pose a risk are marked with the exclamation point. Do not touch the output
terminals while the amplifier is switched on. Make all connections with the amplifier switched o.
