12.2 Opening and closing the unit
12.2.1 To open the outdoor unit

1 Remove the screws of the small front plates.

Once the front plates open, the switch box can be accessed. See
"12.2.2To open the switch box of the outdoor unit"[419].
For service purposes, the pushbuttons on the main PCB (located
behind the middle front panel) need to be accessed. To access
these pushbuttons, the switch box cover does not need to be
opened. See "16.1.2To access the field setting components"[440].
12.2.2 To open the switch box of the outdoor
unit
NOTICE
Do NOT apply excessive force when opening the switch
box cover. Excessive force can deform the cover, resulting
in entering of water to cause equipment failure.
Switch boxes of the outdoor unit
The switch boxes behind the left, middle and right front panel are all
opened in the same way. The main switchbox is installed behind the
middle panel.

12.2.3 To close the outdoor unit
NOTICE
When closing the outdoor unit cover, make sure that the
tightening torque does NOT exceed 3.98N•m.
1 Reinstall the small front plates of each removed front panel.
