Install field-provided flow switches with water pump interlock to sense the system water flow.
Free cooling glycol free (or closed loop) version is available as an option (option 231). For this option, additional
components are installed on the unit:
• One or more intermediate BPHE(s) to separate the free cooling loop, where coils and a water+glycol mixture is
present, from Customer loop, where pure water (no glycol) is used.
• One inverter driven pump to allow glycol circulation in the closed loop. Pump VFD is located in its own dedicated
box unit mounted.
• One expansion vessel to balance any glycol pressure variation during unit functioning.
• Electric heaters on both the expansion vessel and the BPHEs to avoid fluid freezing.
• Safety valve, vents, drains and filling outlets on closed loop.
• Differential pressure transducer on evaporator for glycol pump regulation.

For some unit models, it may happen that the additional components listed above are installed on an
external skid connected to the main base frame. Always refer to Chiller Selection Software and to
dimensional drawings for the detailed length values.
