2 Specific installer safety
instructions
Always observe the following safety instructions and regulations.
Installation site (see "14.1Preparing the installation
site"[424])
WARNING
Follow the service space dimensions in this manual to
install the unit correctly. See "24.1Service space: Outdoor
unit"[445].
WARNING
Tear apart and throw away plastic packaging bags so that
nobody, especially children, can play with them. Possible
consequence: suffocation.
CAUTION
Excessive refrigerant concentrations in a closed room can
lead to oxygen deficiency.
WARNING
If the appliance contains R32 refrigerant, the floor area of
the room in which the appliance is stored shall be at least
429m².

Do NOT leave the unit unattended when the service cover
is removed.
Mounting the outdoor unit (see "14.3Mounting the outdoor
unit"[425])
WARNING
Fixing method of the outdoor unit MUST be in accordance
with the instructions from this manual. See "14.3Mounting
the outdoor unit"[425].
Connecting the refrigerant piping (see "15.2Connecting the
refrigerant piping"[426])
WARNING
Field piping MUST be in accordance with the instructions
from this manual. See "15Piping installation"[426].
CAUTION
Piping MUST be installed according to instructions given in
"15 Piping installation" [4 26]. Only mechanical joints (e.g.
braze+flare connections) that are compliant with the latest
version of ISO14903 can be used.
Low temperature solder alloys shall not be used for pipe
connections.
CAUTION
▪ Do NOT use mineral oil on flared part.
▪ Do NOT reuse piping from previous installations.
▪ NEVER install a drier to this unit to guarantee its
lifetime. The drying material may dissolve and damage
the system.
