For instructions on how to access the configuration web interface, see
"6.5.1Accessing the configuration web interface"[430].
7.1.1 Energy buffering
Depending on Smart Grid settings (configuration web interface), energy buffering
either happens in the domestic hot water tank only, or in the domestic hot water
tank and in the room. You can choose whether or not to have the electrical heaters
assist with the buffering of energy in the domestic hot water tank.
Energy buffering System requirements Description
Domestic hot water tank ▪ Make sure a domestic
hot water tank is part of
the system.
▪ On the user interface,
make sure to set:
- [E-05]=1
- [E-06]=1
▪ Unit control method
(user interface setting
[C-07]): no
requirements, but mind
the information below
"Buffering in case [C-07]
= 0 OR 1"[442].
The system produces
domestic hot water. The
tank heats up the water
up to the maximum tank
temperature.
Room (heating) ▪ Allow for buffering in
the room on the
configuration web
interface.
▪ Unit control method: on
the user interface, make
sure [C-07]=2
The system heats up the
room up to the comfort
setpoint.

The system cools down
the room down to the
comfort setpoint.

In case the actual room temperature is below the comfort heating setpoint. If this value
cannot be set on the user interface of your unit, the default value is 21°C.

In case the actual room temperature is above the comfort cooling setpoint. If this value
cannot be set on the user interface of your unit, the default value is 24°C.
