Edit/Create CONTROL Action: Actions to be sent to non-native
devices via the local serial port.
Note: Serial port settings, such as baud rate, are managed via the
System page. Please see section 6.4.5.1 for more details.
- Name: Enter the preferred name for the script action.
- Delay(ms): Enter the length of time to wait before executing the
command, in milliseconds.
- End Char: Use the dropdown to select the termination
character(s), if any, to attach to the end of the command when it
is sent.
- Command: Enter the command to be sent to the specified
IP address. Clicking on the “Plain/Hex” switch will toggle the
command type between plain ASCII or hex.
Note: When entering characters in hex mode, each character’s two
digit hex code must be preceded by “\x”.
4) Advanced: This section provides a way to add or remove automation
task groups to be used when the scenario is active. Use the dropdown
to select an existing automation group and click on the “+ Add” button
to add it to the scenario. To remove an automation group, click on
the trash icon ( ) next to the group to be removed. After making all
desired changes to this section, click on the “Save” button to commit
them to the scenario.
Note: Automation groups are created and managed via the Automation
page. Please see section 6.4.4.3 for more details.
