Throttle Type 0 – 9 The1204M/05M/09M/21Mcontrollersacceptavarietyofthrottleinputs.The
Throttle Type parameter can be programmed as follows:
0 2-wirepotentiometer,0–5kΩ input
1 2-wirepotentiometer,5kΩ–0 input
2 single-ended 0–5V input
3 2-wirepotentiometer,4.6kΩ–0 input
4 2-wirepotentiometer,5.5kΩ–0 input
5 2-wirepotentiometer,1kΩ–0 input
6 ITSinput
7 6.3–10.6Vinput
8 6–12Vinput
9 single-ended3-wirepotentiometer,0–5kΩ input.
Throttle Deadband 4 – 90% TheThrottleDeadbandparameterdenestheneutraldeadbandasaper-
centage of the full throttle range. Increasing the Throttle Deadband setting will
increase the neutral range. This parameter is especially useful with throttle
assembliesthatdonotreliablyreturntoawell-denedneutralpoint,because
itallowsthedeadbandtobedenedwideenoughtoensurethatthecontroller
goes into neutral when the throttle mechanism is released.
Throttle Max 10 –100% TheThrottleMaxparameterdenesthepercentageofthrottlemovementat
which100%outputisrequested.DecreasingtheThrottleMaxsettingreduc-
esthefullstrokenecessarytoproducefullcontrolleroutput.Thisparameter
allows reduced-range throttle assemblies to be accommodated.
Throttle Map 20 – 80% TheThrottleMapparametermodiesthevehicle’sresponsetothethrottle
input. Setting Throttle Map at 50% provides a linear output response to throttle
position. Values below 50% reduce the controller output at low throttle settings,
providing enhanced slow speed maneuverability. Values above 50% give the
vehicle a faster, more responsive feel at low throttle settings.
The Throttle Map value is the controller output at half throttle, as a
percentageoftheMaxSpeed.Halfthrottleisthemidpointofthethrottle’sactive
range,whichistherangefromzerooutput(attheDeadbandsetting)to100%
output (at the Throttle Max setting).
