OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove all packing materials and stickers from the inside and outside of the hot
water pot except for the rating label, which should remain on the unit.
2. Gently wipe down the exterior, interior, and lid with a damp cloth or paper towel
to remove any packaging residue. Dry completely. CAUTION: Never immerse the
hot water pot, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid; do not use scouring pads
or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the finish.
3. Place the unit on a flat, heat-resistant surface positioned at least 2 inches away
from the wall or any other objects.
4. To clean the pot of packaging residue and prime it for use, bring one tankful
of water to a full boil following the directions below. Be sure to dispense some
hot water through the spout. Let the water cool, then discard the water
and dry well. NOTE: You may notice a plastic smell the first time you use the
dispenser. This is normal and will fade with use.
HOW TO USE THE HOT WATER POT
With its water-viewing window, simple operation, and one-handed dispensing,
the hot water pot is super easy to use.
1. Place the unit on a flat surface with at least 2 inches of space on all sides.
CAUTION: Make sure the unit is placed out of the reach of children. If the
dispenser is accidentally pressed or knocked into, hot water will dispense
and can result in injury.
2. Press the button on the lid and open it. Fill the inner pot with cold water, pouring
from another container such as a jug. WARNING: Do not fill the pot directly from
the tap, as overflowing water could create a short circuit or electric shock. Do not
fill past the Full Water (MAX) Guide Mark, as this can cause overflowing of hot
water. NOTE: This appliance is intended for water only. Using liquids other than
water can damage the unit.
