Operation

DMX Configuration

The Freedom Flex Stick X4 and Freedom Flex Stick Battery works with a DMX controller. Information

about DMX is in the Chauvet DMX Primer, which is available from the Chauvet website

Personality and Starting Address

The Freedom Flex Stick X4 and Freedom Flex Stick Battery uses up to 94 DMX channels in the 94CH

DMX mode, which defines the highest configurable/recommended address to 419.

When selecting a starting DMX address, always consider the number of DMX channels the DMX mode

uses. If the starting address is set too high, access to some channels could be restricted.

To select the personality and starting address, do the following:

1. Press <MENU>.

2. Use <UP> or <DOWN> to select DMX Channel.

3. Press <ENTER>.

4. Use <UP> or <DOWN> to select 4CH, 15CH, 18CH, 34CH, 66CH, or 94CH shows on the display.

5. Press <ENTER>.

DMX Loss

HOLD

Holds the last setting when the DMX signal is

lost

BLACK Blacks out the unit when the DMX signal is lost

SOUND

Sets the unit to Sound mode when DMX signal

is lost

AUTO

Sets the unit to Auto mode when DMX signal

is lost

Back Light

10S

Turns off display backlight after 10 seconds of

inactivity

30S

Turns off display backlight after 30 seconds of

inactivity

2Min

Turns off display backlight after 2 minutes of

inactivity

Always On Display backlight remains on

Factory

Reset

Resets settings to factory default

Products may sync differently while in Sound-Active mode and Master/Slave mode.
