safe by keeping ammable material under control.

The area should be checked with an appropriate refrigerant detector before and during

work to ensure that the technician is warned of potentially ammable atmospheres. Ensure

that the leak-detection equipment used is suitable for use with ammable refrigerants, i.e.

non-sparking, adequately sealed, or intrinsically safe.
