Problem Cause

The sides and

area between the

refrigerator and the

freezer compartment

heat up.

The refrigerator tubes (heat exchanger, anti-fog tubes) are on the

sides and front to dissipate heat and prevent condensation.

The door is very tight

and difficult to open.

When opening the door immediately after closing it, warm

air enters the refrigerator and contracts, creating a pressure

difference. The door will open easily after a moment.

Water sounds inside

the refrigerator.

When the compressor is running or stops, the refrigerant makes

this sound. Defrosting water may also cause this sound.

A “click” or “tick” is

heard inside the

refrigerator.

The contraction and expansion of the housing produces this

sound. It can also occur when the housing cools down or when the

door is opened.

The refrigerator makes

a buzzing sound.

The compressor produces this sound, which may be louder if the

refrigerator is not level.

There is condensation

or frost on the freezer

door or on food items.

The ambient temperature or humidity is high. The door may have

been open for too long, or food items with high water content may

not be properly sealed or wrapped.
