Installation
WARNING: Installation or maintenance must be carried out by a qualified technician, in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions and in compliance with local safety regulations. Failure to follow these instructions may result in a safety hazard.
WARNING: For all installation and maintenance operations, it is necessary to use work gloves.
WARNING: Before connecting the cooktop, check that the voltage and frequency supplied match those indicated on the appliance's
rating plate.
WARNING: An omnipolar switch is required for complete disconnection in accordance with local electrical installation regulations.
WARNING: The electrical safety of the cooktop will only be guaranteed if it is connected to a properly installed grounding system.
WARNING: Do not use multiple sockets or extension cords to connect this appliance. The appliance is not intended to be operated by
an external timer or a remote control system.
WARNING: If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to
avoid a safety hazard.
WARNING: Consult local regulations regarding extraction outlets and ensure compliance.
CAUTION: This appliance is not intended to be used alongside gas cooktops. There must be adequate ventilation in the room when the
extractor is used simultaneously with appliances that burn gas or other fuels.
Ensure that the negative pressure at the installation site does not exceed 4 Pa (0.04 mbar) to ensure that combustion gases are not
drawn back into the room.
WARNING: Do not install the appliance outdoors in a damp place or in an area that may be prone to water leaks, such as under or near
a sink unit. If a water leak aects the appliance, do not use it and contact customer service to arrange an inspection.
Proper Use and Supervision
WARNING: This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Keep the appliance and its power cord out of the reach of children under 8 years old unless they are continuously supervised.
Do not use inappropriate child safety shields or cooktop covers. These can cause accidents or overheating and damage to the electric
cooktop.
CAUTION: The cooking process must be supervised.
A short-term cooking process must be continuously supervised.
After use, switch o the cooktop element with its control and do not rely on the pan detector.
Fire and Burn Risks
WARNING: Protect your hands with gloves or mitts whenever working with a hot appliance.
WARNING: Some accessible parts may become hot when the appliance is used for cooking. Care should be taken to avoid touching
the appliance.
WARNING: Unattended cooking on a cooktop with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result in a fire.
NEVER try to extinguish a fire with water. The appliance's power supply must be disconnected, and then cover the flame, for example,
with a lid or a fire blanket.
When a cooking zone has been in use, the surface remains hot for some time afterward. Danger of burns! Never touch the hot surfaces
or place any objects on them.
Metal objects such as knives, forks, spoons, and lids should not be placed on the cooktop surface as they can get hot.
Risk of fire! The cooktop gets very hot. Never place combustible items on the cooktop. Never store items on the cooktop.
Risk of injury! Saucepan bases may suddenly move due to liquid between the pan base and the cooktop. Always keep the cooktop and
saucepan bases dry.
Risk of fire! Do not use flammable sprays near the appliance.
Risk of fire! Do not store detergents or flammable materials under the cooktop.
WARNING: Cooking with an open flame can cause a fire. Flaming is prohibited with this appliance. The extractor can draw the flame
into the filters, which can catch fire due to accumulated cooking fats.
Cleaning and Maintenance
We recommend taking great care during use and cleaning. Read the cleaning and maintenance sections of this appliance carefully.
WARNING: Switch o the appliance at the main supply before carrying out any maintenance work.
WARNING: There is a risk of electric shock and fire if cleaning is not carried out in accordance with these instructions.
Risk of electric shock! Do not use high-pressure cleaners or steam cleaners, as they can cause an electric shock.
WARNING: Clean the cooktop only when it has suiciently cooled down.
When the power to the cooktop is switched o, there will be no residual heat indication, but the cooking zone may still be hot.
Take extreme care!
WARNING: Salt, sugar, or grains of sand, e.g., from cleaning vegetables, can cause scratches if they are found under the base of the
containers.
WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switch o the appliance to avoid the possibility of an electric shock.
