1. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
pYC mini is a microprocessor-based controller by CAREL (incorporated operating control) for many applications
in the air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration sectors. pYC mini controls inputs and outputs logic, HMI
connection and others devices communication by built-in two serial lines (Fieldbus e BMS), NFC interface,
Bluetooth.
The development tools installable on PC, for the creation and customization of HVAC/R application software,
simulation, monitoring, allows to develop new applications quickly. The application programs are loaded using
specific Carel command line tool. For development and command line tools please refer to the appropriate
sections in KSA - Sw&Support.
1.1 Models and options
STone
Designed to manage every stage of HVAC/R software development, STone allows a team of professionals to
work as a group on the same project, increasing efficiency and adopting joint development based on workflow.
STone allows source and functionality control through version control software (e.g. GIT)
Development tool
STone: environment where the application programme, the user interface for semi-graphical display,
configurations defined, input/output types, Client/Server protocols, value of default parameters, data logger,
network address management and users are developed.
Features of the programming environment:
• total independence of programming logic from the hardware and the connected devices;
• availability of IEC 61131 standard languages: ST (Structured Text);
• datatype managing: 32-64 bit, floating point, array and native structures;
• debug on target via USB port or Ethernet;
• availability of a comprehensive test suite: unit tests, automated tests and non-regression testse.
