COVERING CONTAINERS

WARNING: Danger of explosion due to pressure build-up.

When cooking foods with a high moisture content, excess steam can be produced. To help reduce

steam escaping into the microwave cavity, ‘microwave safe’ containers with ventilating lids or

heat-retaining covers can be used.

NOTE: Care should always be taken when covering containers. When choosing a container, always

check the manufacturer’s instructions for further information on correct use and suitability in a

microwave oven.

NOTE: It is normal for condensation to build up when heating food, always wipe away the

condensation after cooking.
