Safety Precautions
Be sure to follow these precautions for the safe handling of the printer.
Place For Storage and Installation
● Do not place metal objects(paper clips, staples, etc.) or containers of flammable
solvents(alcohol, thinners, etc) on top of the printer. Such objects could fall or spill
into the printer and cause a fire or electric shock.
● Do not place the printer close to flammable solvents such as alcohol or thinners.
If flammable solvents come in contact with electrical components inside the printer,
such substances could cause a fire or electric shock.
● Avoid using the printer in such unfavorable locations as given below.
Do not place the printer expose to salty breeze or
high humidity. This could cause a fire, electric shock
or a fault arises. If a room is heated at excessively
rapid pace or the printer is transferred into a heated
room, internal dew condensation may result. In this
case leave the printer as it is for an hour or more so
that it is adapted to the ambient temperature and
humidity.
Do not install the printer in a location that is unstable
or subject to excessive vibration. The printer could tip
over or fall and cause injury. In addition, do not place
the heavy object on the printer to avoid to similar
reason.
Do not place the printer on rugs, carpets with a deep
pile or a dusty place. Fibers or dust entering the
printer could cause a fire. Also, do not place the
printer in the vicinity of water taps or other wet place.
Water entering the printer could cause a fire or
electric shock.
Do not install the printer in location that are in direct
sunlight or beside an air conditioner. To avoid the risk
of a fire, electric shock, or fault occurs.
Keep the power outlet for the printer free of all
obstacles so you can unplug the power cord at any
time. Such obstacles could prevent you from
unplugging the printer when a printer fault occurs and
cause a fire or electric shock.
