6. Replacing Ink Cartridges
When the printer is running low on ink, a message, SHORT IN INK (Y),
appears on the display panel, and when it is out of ink, EMPTY INK (Y),
where a letter in the parentheses indicates the ink color. Replace the
ink cartridge of the indicated color with a new one, following the steps
below.
● Use only the ink cartridges supplied by the manufacturer specifically for COLOR
CARD PRINTING MACHINE.
● Do not subject Ink Cartridges to shock or excessive vibrtion. This could cause the ink
to leak out and stain your clothing or the surroundings.
● When the message “SHORT IN INK” appears, replace the cartridge with a new one as
soon as possible. If not replaced, too dark images may be printed.
● It is dangerous to put your fingers deep into the ink cartridge boxes. There are pin-
sharp parts which may hurt you.
● When storing ink cartridges, place them well out of direct sunlight
● It is recommended that ink cartridges be replaced approximately once a year. When
you get spare cartridges, store them unopened until you begin to use them.
● Once installed, do not remove the ink cartridges from the main unit. They should stay
in place until you replace them with new ones.

Press the lever down. Pull out
the empty cartridge while
holding down the lever.
