5-3-1 Firmware updating
Connect a USB ash drive containing a rmware update le*1 to up-
date the lens equipment rmware.

5-4 Log screen
Shows a menu of log operations.
Logs with data such as lens management information can be exported
to a USB ash drive. Use this information to manage your equipment
or when requesting service from your Canon sales representative or
dealer.

Displayed after startup following an unsuccess-
ful rmware update.
Press the display control key straight in (Set) to
return to screen A. Try to update the rmware
again.

Displayed when the lens is accessing or
disconnecting from a USB ash drive.
Screen M5 is displayed and automatically
cleared when the display is turned o, either
automatically or if the display switch is pressed
on screen M2, M3, or M4 to turn o the power.
