2.1.3 Configuring Port Based VLAN (Example)

Type the configure terminal command into the terminal. Press the key.

Type the vlan 2 command into the terminal to configure a VLAN. Press the key.

Type the exit command into the terminal to go back to the global configuration mode. Press

Type the interface gigabitethernet 0/2 command into the terminal to select the interface to

be configured. Press the

key.

Type the switchport acceptable-frame-type untaggedAndPrioritytagged command into the

terminal to set the acceptable frame type for the port. Press the

key.

Type the switchport mode access command into the terminal to configure the VLAN port

mode. Press the

key.

Type the switchport access vlan 2 command into the terminal to set port as an untagged

member port of a VLAN. Press the

key.

Type the exit command into the terminal to go back to the global configuration mode. Press

the

key.

Type the vlan 2 into the terminal to enter the configuration vlan mode. Press the key.

Type the ports gigabitethernet 0/1 untagged gigabitethernet 0/1 command into

the terminal to configure port list for VLAN 2.
