IGMP Snooping

Managing IGMP Snooping

FeatureDescription

The IGMP Snooping feature enables the cnMatrix switch to transmit multicast traffic toone or moreports

in a broadcast domain.

IGMP Snooping allows a switch to snoop or capture information from IGMP packets (being sent back and

forth between hosts and a router). Based on this information, the switch adds/deletes the multicast

addresses from its address table, thereby enabling/disabling multicast traffic from flowing to individual

host ports.
