How to Enable DHCP Client in CLI Interface

1. Type the configure terminal command into theterminal.Press the Enter key.

2. Type the interface vlan 1 command into the terminal to select an interface to be configured.Press

the Enter key.

3. Type the ip address dhcp command into the terminal to obtain an IP address through DHCP.Press

the Enter key.

4. Type the end command into the terminal to go to the Privileged EXEC mode. Press the Enter key.

5. Type the show interface command into the terminal to display the interface status and

configuration. Press the Enter key.
