How to configure OSPF network type

Starting with version 4.4, additional OSPF network types are supported for Non-broadcast, Point-to-

Multipoint Non-Broadcast, and Point-to-Point.

Web configuration is not available in 4.4.

Command Explanation

# configure terminal Enter global configuration mode.

(config)# interface ip-interface Enter interface configuration mode on the IP

interface that you want to change OSPF network

type on.

(config-if)# ip ospf network {broadcast | non-

broadcast | point-to-multipoint non-broadcast |

point-to-point}

Configure the desired OSPF network type.

Default: broadcast

(config-if)# exit Exit interface configuration mode.

(config)# router ospf Enter OSPF router configuration mode.

(config-router)# neighbor neighbor-ip Configure static neighbors for non-broadcast

network types.
