Saving to memory (WRITE)
When you want to save your edits, follow the steps below to save
them as a memory.
If you don’t save the memory, the edited settings are lost when you
turn o the power or switch to another memory.
1. Press the [EXIT] and [
Ë
] buttons at the same time.
The WRITE screen appears.
2. Press the [1] knob.
The MEMORY NAME screen appears.
3. Turn the [1] knob to select the memory number to
which you want to save.
You can use the [3]–[5] knobs and the [SELECT] knob to edit the
name.
Editing a name
To edit a memory’s name, use the [SELECT] knob to move the
cursor and the [5] knob to change the character.
Controller Action
Turn the [3] knob Selects the character type
Press the [3] knob Deletes one character (delete)
Turn the [4] knob Toggles uppercase/lowercase
Press the [4] knob Inserts one space (insert)
Turn the [5] knob Changes the character
Turn the [SELECT] knob Moves the cursor
4. Press the [SELECT] knob.
The memory is now written.
WRITE MENU functions
Menu Function
WRITE Saves the memory you created.
EXCHANGE
You can “swap” or exchange the positions of the
memories to change their order.
INITIALIZE
You can restore (initialize) each eect in a user
memory to its standard settings. This is useful when
you want to create a new memory from scratch.
INSERT
You can insert a memory into any position within the
memories.
For example, if you insert memory U01-1 at U02-
1, memory U02-1 and the subsequent memory
numbers are shifted (renumbered) up by one. (In this
case, memory U02-1 becomes U02-2.)
