12.10 Filter system on the
base unit
During drying, fluff from the laundry is
collected in the base unit's filter sys-
tem. The filter system protects the ap-
pliance from fluff.
Cleaning the filter system on the
base unit
If the display shows a notification
while the appliance is in operation,
clean the base unit's filter system.
Notes
¡ You can clean the filter regularly
system even without the notifica-
tion being shown on the display.
It is not necessary to clean after
each drying cycle.
¡ If you do not clean the appliance
as described, the appliance's func-
tionality may be impaired.
Requirement:The display shows the
following during operation: .

Clean the fluff filter →Page31.
2.
Open the base unit →Page36.
3. Carefully remove the filter mat from
the retainers.
Ensure that you do not deform or
damage the filter mat.
4. Use a soft brush to clean the heat
exchanger cover.
Make sure that you remove all dirt
from the seal.
