11 Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
You can eliminate minor issues on your appliance
yourself. Please read the information on eliminating issues
before contacting Customer Service. This may avoid
unnecessary repair visits.
WARNING
To avoid risk of injury from improper repairs, observe the
following.
▶ Only qualified technicians or authorized service
providers should perform repairs.
▶ If the power cord of this appliance becomes damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer, the
manufacturer's Customer Service, or an authorized
service provider in order to prevent injury.
▶ Only original spare parts may be used to repair the
appliance.
▶ If the appliance has an issue, call Customer Service.
11.1 Warnings
Notes
¡ If or appears in the displays, press and hold the
sensor for the respective cooking zone and read the
fault code.
¡ If the fault code is not listed in the table, disconnect the
cooktop from the power supply and wait 30seconds
before reconnecting it. If this display appears again,
contact customer service and specify the exact fault
code.
¡ If an error occurs, the appliance does not switch to
standby mode.
¡ In order to protect the appliance's electronic parts from
overheating or surge currents, the cooktop may
temporarily reduce the power level.
Issue Cause and troubleshooting
Displays do not light up. The power supply has been disconnected.
▶ Use other electrical appliances to check whether there has been a power failure.
The appliance has not been connected as shown in the circuit diagram.
▶ Connect the appliance in accordance with the circuit diagram.
Electronics fault
▶ If you are unable to rectify the fault, inform technical customer service.
The displays flash. The control panel is damp or an object is covering it.
▶ Dry the control panel or remove the object.
, , , , The electronics have overheated, and one or all of the cooking zones have been
switched off.
▶ Wait until the electronics have cooled down sufficiently. Then touch any button on
the control panel.
+ power level and signal tone There is hot cookware in the vicinity of the control panel. This may cause the
electronics to overheat.
▶ Remove the cookware. The error display goes out shortly afterwards. You can
continue cooking.

been switched off to protect the electronics.
▶ Remove the cookware. Wait a few seconds. Press any button. When the error
display goes out, you can continue cooking.
/ The cooking zone has overheated and has been switched off to protect the work
surface.
▶ Wait until the electronics have cooled down sufficiently before switching the
cooking zone back on.
The cooking zone has been operating continuously for an extended period.
▶ Individual safety shut-off is switched on. Touch any button to switch off the
display so that you can set the cooking zone.
/ The operating voltage is incorrect and outside of the normal operating range.
▶ Contact your energy provider.
