Starting self clean
Requirements
¡ All heating modes or timers are canceled.
¡ You have carried out the steps for preparing the oven
for self clean.
1. Press clean twice.
a "self" lights up.
2. Press or to selected the desired cleaning level.

3. Press start.
a "door lock" and the cleaning duration are displayed.
4. Check if the door is locked.
Note:Do not use self clean if the oven door does not
lock.
5. When the self clean program is finished the door
remains locked until the temperature has dropped
below 400°F (200°C). After that the oven will go into
stand by mode.
6. Wait until the oven cavity has fully cooled down before
completing self clean. →

Completing self clean
When self clean is finished, the oven cools down. The
door latch will open automatically when the oven is below
500°F (260°C).
CAUTION
To avoid risk of burns, let the oven cool down completely
before opening the oven door. The oven cavity is still at
baking temperatures when the door latch is released after
self clean.
1. Press to turn the oven off.
2. Wipe the remaining ash from the oven with a moist
cloth.
Note:After self clean is complete, the self clean function
will be prevented from running again for a period of
24hours.
Surface elements disabled during self clean
WARNING
To avoid risk of personal injury, while the Self Clean cycle
is operating, do not operate the cooktop and ensure that
all surface controls are turned off.
If you try to use the cooktop while the self clean mode is in
use, "cooktop active" will light up in the oven display. If the
cooktop is not turned off within 1minute, Error code 14 is
displayed and the self clean function stops.
Steam clean function
This function is ideal at removing light soils from the oven
cavity.
This function is most effective when used regularly. If the
oven cavity has heavy soil use the self clean function
instead.
Starting steam clean
1. Pour a maximum of ½cup of water onto the bottom of
the oven cavity.
2. Press clean once.
a "on" lights up.
a The steam clean timer counts down from 30 minutes.
3. When the steam clean timer has elapsed, continue with
subsequent cleaning.
Subsequently cleaning the oven cavity after the
cleaning function
Clean the oven cavity manually as soon as it has cooled
off after the cleaning function.
NOTICE:
Moisture in the oven cavity can cause damage to the
surfaces.
▶ Remove remaining water from the oven cavity promptly.
▶ Do not leave the remaining water in the oven cavity for
a long time, for example overnight.
▶ Do not operate the appliance when the oven cavity is
still wet or damp.
1. Open the appliance door and remove the remaining
water with an absorbent sponge cloth.
2. Clean the smooth surfaces in the oven cavity with a
dish cloth or a soft brush. Stubborn residues can be
removed using a soft scouring pad.
3. Remove limescale with a cloth soaked in vinegar and
wipe it with clean water. Rub the oven cavity dry with a
soft cloth; also dry under the door seal.
4. Turn the appliance off.
5. Leave the appliance door ajar in the stop position
(approx. 30°) for about one hour to allow the enamel
surfaces in the oven cavity to dry thoroughly.
Maintenance
Replacing an oven light bulb
When the oven light fails you can replace the light bulbs.
WARNING
Light socket is live when door is open if main power supply
is not turned off.
▶ Turn off main power supply at the service panel before
changing the light bulbs.
