mechanism(14). Remove the lithium-ion battery

pack(see Fig. I, page6).

The measuring tool can only be switched on if the

battery compartment cover(12) is screwed down

correctly.

Charging the lithium-ion battery pack

(accessory)

u For charging, use the recommended USB power

supply unit or a USB power supply unit whose out-

put voltage and minimum output current comply

with the requirements in the "Technical data" sec-

tion. Observe the operating manual of the USB

power supply unit. Recommended power supply unit:

See "Technical data".

u Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of

the power source must match the voltage specified on

the rating plate of the power adaptor. Power adaptors

marked with 230V can also be operated with 220V.

Never recharge the lithium-ion battery in the meas-

uring tool.

Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are supplied

partially charged according to international trans-

port regulations. To ensure full rechargeable battery ca-

pacity, fully charge the rechargeable battery before using

your tool for the first time.

The lithium-ion battery pack(15) must be removed from

the battery compartment cover(12) to charge it (see Fig.

I, page6).

The USB port for connecting the USB cable and the char-

ging indicator light can be found under the flap for the

USB port on the lithium-ion battery pack(15) (access-

ory).

Open the flap of the USB port.

Connect the USB cable.

During charging, the charging indicator light lights

up yellow.

When the lithium-ion battery pack(15) (access-

ory) is fully charged, the charging indicator light

will light up green.

A red charging indicator light indicates that the

charging voltage or charging current is unsuitable.

Magnetic Hanger (Accessory)

The magnetic hanger(17) can be used to attach the

measuring tool to metallic surfaces(see Fig. J,

page6).

The magnet of the hanger(17) must not get close

to the measuring clamp(5) during the measure-

ment.
