Notes on the ECO program and general energy-saving tips
• In the "Eco 40-60" program, normally soiled cotton laundry that is specified as washable at 40°C-60°C can
be washed together in the same operating cycle. The program is used to check compliance with EU legis-
lation on eco-design in accordance with DIN-EN 60436.
• The most efficient programs in terms of energy and water consumption are generally those that perform at
lower temperatures and longer duration. If possible, avoid selecting high washing temperatures.
• Loading the household washing machine or household washer-dryer up to the capacity specified for the
respective programs helps to save energy and water. Use the maximum capacity of the respective wash-
ing program.
• Noise emissions and residual moisture are influenced by the spin speed: the higher the spin speed in the
spin cycle, the higher the sound emissions and the lower the residual moisture.
• Clean the filter regularly to avoid excessive washing and high power consumption.
• Ventilate the room well. The room temperature should not exceed +35°C.
Program brief description
Eco 40-60 Less energy is used to heat the water and less water is used to wash the same amount of
laundry as in program [Cotton].
Cotton For your daily laundry. Recommended for hard wearing, heat resistant cotton textiles.
Synthetics For lightly to moderately dirty laundry. The temperature can be set separately; therefore,
observe the instructions indicated on the clothing. Wash the clothes worn directly on the
skin at 60℃. Less heavily soiled laundry will be thoroughly cleaned at 40℃. Spinning
speed can also be freely selected. Default setting is maximum spinning speed.
Mix Suitable for textiles made of mixed fabrics, i.e. cotton mixed with synthetic fibers.
Wool Suitable for “machine washable” wool. Observe the correct washing temperature and use
a suitable detergent.
