Manual filling of the 5-liter water tank
• Remove the cap from the water tank opening.
• Fill approx. 5-liter of water into the tank.
How to notice if there is enough water in the tank:
- Filling in standby mode:
When the tank is sufficiently full, several signal
tones sound.
- Filling in switched-on mode:
If there is not enough water, the display shows the
symbol .
As soon as sufficient water has been refilled, the
symbol goes out and several signal tones sound
again.
Electrical connection
WARNING:
• Installation on the mains supply must be carried
out in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Improper connection can lead to electric shocks
and serious injuries.
• Do not use multiple sockets or extension cables.
• Never modify the mains plug of the appliance! If
the socket is unsuitable for the mains plug, have it
professionally replaced by a qualified electrician.
• The socket outlet must always be freely accessi-
ble so that the appliance can be quickly discon-
nected from the power supply in an emergency.
Before connecting:
• Check that the mains voltage matches the
specifications on the rating label of the appliance.
•
Only use a properly installed earthed socket outlet.
• If the mains plug is not accessible after
installation, a suitable disconnecting device (e.g.
all-pole switch with at least 3 mm contact
opening) must be installed to comply with safety
regulations.
Using for the first time
CAUTION:
• Only use special salt and detergents that are suit-
able for dishwashers. Other products may
damage the appliance.
• Always consider the dosage and storage recom-
mendations on the sales packaging.
WARNING:
Always keep salt and cleaning agents out of the
reach of children.
Filling salt into the salt container (water softener)
Water softener
Water hardness can vary greatly from region to re-
gion. If hard water is used in the dishwasher, lime-
scale deposits may form on the dishes and kitchen
utensils.
The appliance is equipped with an integrated water
softener. This removes limescale and minerals from
the tap water using a salt container, thus protecting
both the dishes and the appliance from deposits.
Information on the water hardness in your region can
be obtained from your local water supplier.
Adjusting salt consumption
The salt consumption can be adjusted according to
your water hardness and thus be regulated optimally.
• Switch the appliance on.
• Within 60 seconds after switching on the appli-
ance, keep pressing the program selection button
for more than 5 seconds to enter the water hard-
ness setting mode.
• The water hardness can be selected by repeated-
ly pressing the program selection button:
↪H1→H2→H3→H4→H5→H6↩
