USE
Lighting a re
1 Make sure that the re basket is placed on a rm, at, level and heat-
resistant surface, away from ammable objects.
2 Place paper or dry rewood in the centre of the re basket base.
Note: Do not place fuel directly in the re basket, but always on the paper or
rewood.
3 Light the paper or rewood.
Note: Start a small re rst and then let it slowly grow bigger. If the heat
develops too quickly and too strongly, cracks may appear in the construction.
Stoking the re
• Add more fuel to slowly increase the heat. Do not overload the re basket
with fuel. Three small logs are sufcient.
• Use the poker tool when shifting the logs.
Extinguishing
To extinguish the re basket, do not add any more fuel or smother the re with
sand. Never extinguish the re with water!
Using as a barbecue
• The barbecue and utensils must be clean and free of residues before
barbecuing.
• Put approx. 0.5 kg of charcoal on the charcoal grate and light the charcoal
according to the instructions above.
• Place the grill grate on the re basket. Make sure that the grill grate is
rmly in place.
• Only start grilling when the fuel has a layer of ash.
• The food must be completely cooked before eating.
• Only remove the grill grate when the grill has cooled down completely.
• Always clean the grill grate and grill utensils after grilling.
