Cooking Guide and Tips
General
• Always use the timer on the oven display so you
don’t lose track of time and overcook your food.
• When following recipes, always use the
recommended pan size and type. Shiny or reective
pans are best for cakes, quick breads, mufns,
cookies and for pies with light golden crusts.
Medium gauge aluminum sheets with low or no
sides should be used when making cookies.
• Avoid using old or darkened pans. Warped and
dented stainless steel and tin coated pans heat
unevenly and fail to produce uniform baking results.
• Use cookware that has a combination of both
stainless steel and an aluminum core for
performance, durability and that has oven
compatibility of up to 550°F (287.8°C).
• Only certain types of glass, heat proof ceramic,
ceramic earthenware, or other glazed utensils are
suitable cooking at higher temperatures in the oven.
If not suitable for high heat, the utensils or cookware
may break with sudden temperature changes, so
depending on the cookware, use only on low or
medium heat settings according to the
manufacturer's directions.
Cooktop
• Before cooking, make sure the bottom of the
cookware is clean and dry.
• Cookware with rough bottoms may damage the
cooktop surface. Check the bottom of the cookware
before setting it down.
• Lift up the pots and pans to avoid sliding them
across the cooktop surface.
• Remove spilled sugar or syrup without waiting for
the surface to cool down. Protect your hand with a
pot holder, if necessary.
• Salt, sugar or sand may damage the cooktop
surface. Never use the cooktop as a working surface
or as a storage area.
• Avoid dropping objects, even small ones, on the
cooktop surface.
• Plastic or aluminum foil must not contact the hot
cooking zones. This may cause breaks or other
alterations of the cooktop surface by cooling down.
Take them immediately off of the hot cooking zones.
Protect your hand with a pot holder, if necessary.
• Never place a hot cookware on the control panel or
in the display area to avoid overheating the
electronics.
• Make sure that the ventilation of the appliance works
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
