4. INTENDED USE
The emergency wristband is intended to trigger an emergency notification in emergency situ-
ations. Only use the emergency wristband in emergency situations. Only use the emergency
wristband on people and not on animals.
The emergency wristband is equipped with an automatic fall detection function, which triggers
an emergency notification when a fall is detected.
In an emergency, the emergency wristband can be located via the “My Gardia” app. The wearer
can communicate with an emergency contact via the microphone and loudspeaker. The emer-
gency wristband is not a medical device.
The emergency wristband must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed and in
the manner specified in these instructions for use. Any form of improper use can be danger-
ous. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or incorrect use. If you
have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer
Services address.
5. WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES
WARNING
• Do NOT use the emergency wristband if you have a pacemaker or other active implants
(such as infusion pumps or brain pacemakers).
• Do not use the emergency wristband in areas where the use of mobile phones is prohibited.
These include aircraft, hospitals or in the vicinity of sensitive medical devices, chemicals
and fuels, as well as in blasting areas. Switch o the emergency wristband in good time
before entering such areas.
• Keep packaging material away from children. Keep the device and the package contents,
especially any small parts included, out of the reach of children.
• In motor vehicles, radio signals may interfere with functions if electronic systems in motor
vehicles and other vehicles have not been properly installed or have not been adequately
shielded. If you notice such faults, contact the manufacturer of your vehicle, a specialist
workshop or the manufacturer of the components susceptible to faults and find out about
their susceptibility to interference.
CAUTION
• Never open the housing of the emergency wristband or charger by yourself. The housings
should only be opened by authorised specialists when inspecting for faults and defects. If
your device has a fault or defect, please contact Customer Services.
NOTICE
• The emergency wristband uses 2G mobile phone technology. This means that its func-
tion cannot be guaranteed in remote areas and in cellars, garages, etc. (depends on the
reception).
• Only use the charger and mains plug supplied to charge the battery. The use of external
accessories may result in the battery not being charged correctly or in faults.
