2. In Auto control by light sensor, select a sensor source. You can choose to
use the built-in sensor of Macbook or the MA series display.
Note
Only when you select a MA-series display as your light source will B.I.+ Gen2 function be
enabled.
3. If you don't want to let any light sensor to adjust your screen brightness
automatically, select None. At this time, both the B.I. function and the
"Automatically adjust brightness" in your macOS system settings will
be disabled. You can still manually adjust the brightness of all screens
simultaneously through the brightness slider on the widget or iKeyboard
Control.

• The adjusted settings will be saved and applied by color mode switch. See Checking settings
bundled with color mode on page 25 for details.
• The performance of B.I. Gen2/B.I.+ Gen2 may be impacted by the light sources and the monitor
tilt angle.
• Software Dimming will be disabled when B.I. Gen2/B.I.+ Gen2 is turned on.
Brightness Intelligence Gen2 (B.I. Gen2) technology detects the ambient light,
image brightness and contrast, and then balance the screen automatically. It helps
keep image details as well as to reduce eye strain. As for Brightness Intelligence
Plus Gen2 (B.I.+ Gen2), it adjusts both the brightness and color temperature for
your screen.
1. Click
/ from the widget to enable B.I. Gen2/B.I.+ Gen2.
2. Click the function name B.I. Gen2/B.I.+ Gen2 from the widget to adjust the
settings.
• (RD series only) You can turn on Light Meter to display the light condition
around the monitor on the screen.
