25 How to assemble your monitor hardware
How to detach the stand and the base
1. Power off the monitor.
Turn off the monitor and the power before unplugging
the power cable. Turn off the computer before
unplugging the monitor signal cable.
2. Remove the I/O cover.
Remove the I/O cover from its bottom as illustrated.
You might want to tilt the monitor to remove it easily.
Unplug all cables carefully.
3. Prepare the monitor and area.
Put the monitor back to the box that used to ship the
product in the first place. Your monitor comes with a
curved screen and the screen surface should never be
placed on the desk without a cushion underneath.
Please be careful to prevent damage to the monitor. Placing
the screen surface on an object like a stapler or a mouse will
crack the glass or damage the LCD substrate voiding your
warranty. Sliding or scraping the monitor around on your
desk will scratch or damage the monitor surround and
controls.
4. Remove the VESA cover.
5. Remove the monitor stand.
Release the screws that fix the stand to the monitor.
Then pull the monitor stand backward away from the
monitor.
To secure or release a screw, a cross-pointed screwdriver is
required.
