Non contact cable break detector / EF (electric
field) (2100-Gamma)
The non contact cable break detector / EF locates
interruptions on exposed live lines or wires.
The display function of the non contact cable break
detector / EF may be impaired e.g. by insulating personal
protective equipment or at insulated locations.
WThis function is not suitable to test for absence of
voltage. This always requires a two-pole voltage test.
• Select function cable break detector / EF with
pushbutton

. LCD will show “EF”.
• Hold the voltage tester with the sensor

the line to be tested or respective wire. The voltage
tester indicates the strength of the signal digitally on
the LCD screen

Measurement Area Illumination / Torch Light /
LCD backlight (2100-Beta, 2100-Gamma)
The voltage tester features a measurement area
illumination by a white LED

and LCD backlight (2100-
Beta, 2100-Gamma). This facilitates work under poor
lighting conditions (e.g. distribution/control cabinets).
To activate the torch light and LCD backlight press the
pushbutton

for measurement area illumination. This
function Auto power OFF is approx. 30 seconds after last
pressing the pushbutton

Test probe protector cover
The 2100 series offers you a “Test probe protector cover”
with several functions:

storage area for “Test probe - (L1)” and “Test probe +
(L2)” to avoid any injury by penetration.

storage area for “4mm Ø test probe extension”

storage area for “GS 38 protective probe cap”

“Opener-tool” to open UK safety sockets
