Chain Looper
Make sure the steps for threading the upper/ lower/ chain looper port are completed (see page 19
Upper/ Lower/ Chain looper Threading Port Set Up-Threading). Thread the chain looper following
the numeric sequence below.
NOTE: When re-threading the chain looper, remove any thread that may be in the looper tube.
This will eliminate any chance of the previous thread obstructing the flow of the air when
re-threading the machine.
NOTE: For the steps on releasing the upper/ lower/ chain looper threading lever see page 19.
1. Place thread in chain looper
guide, front to back.
Presser foot should be up.
2. Place thread behind the
guide.
3. Guide the thread into the
chain looper tension disk
path.
4. Place the thread inside the guide
and move to step 3.
Open side cover, on the left, for easy access to the chain looper thread tray.
Trim thread to 4 inches (100mm) from the eye of chain looper and lay thread back inside the tray.
Close the side cover and lower the presser foot.
1. Pull a 22 inch
(550mm) length
of thread.
3. Press the "Push to
Thread Looper" button.
2. Insert 1/2 inch-
1 inch (13-25mm) of
thread into the chain
looper threading port.
