External Control
This chapter provides information on external control setup for room control systems. RS232
and TCP/IP control options are supported.
RS232 Connection and Port Configuration
Connect your control system or PC to the RS232 input of the display via a 9-pin male-to-
female crossover connector cable, and set the baud rate to 38400, Data Bit: 8 bit, Stop Bit: 1
bit, Parity Bit: No Parity.
TCP/IP Control Configuration
Connect your network, control system, or PC to the display’s LAN port via a CAT5 cable. This
display must be connected to the network and must have a valid IP address. Configure your
control device to run through PORT 59595.
RS232 ID
The RS232 ID determines the “ID1” and “ID2” bytes in the list of HEX codes, and is the
second byte in the ASCII code, that follows. This ID is set to “00” by default, but can be
changed from 00~99. This setting is in Settings>Advanced Features>RS232 ID in the
display’s OSD.
