The FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick connects your computer with a

FRITZ!Box or another wireless access point via wireless LAN.

The wireless connection provides the computer with access

to the Internet.

The FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick can also connect your computer di-

rectly with other computers, without a wireless access point.

Then the computers can exchange data in what is called an

ad hoc network.

1.2 Operation Requirements

In order to operate the FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick AC 860, your

computer must fulfill the following requirements:

• a free USB port (USB 3.0, compatible with USB 2.0 at re-

duced data rates)

• Microsoft Windows 8.1 or 8 (32- or 64-bit edition),

Windows 7 (32- or 64-bit edition) or Windows Vista (32-

bit edition) operating system. Installation of the latest

service packs and updates is recommended.

• pentium-class computer or notebook (500 MHz CPU or

better)

• at least 64 MB RAM and 5 MB free memory on the hard

drive
