OVERVIEW
HXL uses a high-performance dual CS43131 DAC configuration, paired
with a low-noise amplifier that drives headphones with impedances of 10
ohms or higher. The output is available through both 3.5mm single-ended
and 4.4mm balanced headphone ports. It can also connect to powered
speakers or other analog input devices via the 3.5mm output.
The DAC architecture is built around the CS43131’s advanced design with
low distortion and ultra-low noise, supporting native DSD and high-
resolution PCM playback.
HXL processes PCM digital audio up to 32-bit / 384kHz and supports native
DSD playback up to DSD256.
Audio formats and bitrates are indicated by the LED color on the HXL case:
