- Clear: Click the button to instantly clear all filters. It will clarify all feedback points previously
detected with inhibition. This operation is usually performed when returning the feedback
module to service.
The feedback inhibitor can be used as a tool during system commissioning to identify
feedback points or as a preventative measure during normal operations. If you want to
obtain higher system transmission gain and feedback inhibition effect, it is recommended to
debug by following steps:
(a) Reduce the system gain and use the “Clear” button to reset all filter parameters.
(b) Configure the parameters for the feedback inhibition module. Also, lower the panic
threshold to reduce the level of feedback.
(c) Open all microphones and slowly increase the system gain until feedback occurs. Stop
increasing system gain when feedback occurs.
(d) Wait for the feedback inhibition module to take effect; After the feedback disappears,
continue increasing the gain.
(e) Repeat the operation until the system reaches the required gain or until all filters are fully
distributed.
(f) Change the panic threshold to a maximum level slightly higher than the expected
no-feedback signal.
At this time, if necessary, you can set Fixed mode for each filter or save the dynamic state to
deal with possible feedback during the performance period. Additionally, you can copy the
filter to the band filter module (such as equalizer). This way you can add more filtering
capacity.
If a speaker is included among the devices used, it is recommended that a compressor/limi-
ter module be used for additional protection. You can set an appropriate limiter to ensure
that the speaker is not damaged even if all band filters are exhausted or if the feedback
inhibitor cannot effectively control the feedback, such as in the case of excessive system
gain.
