Custom Control Interface
Label and Label Text Position
• Type - Select between Text, Variables, or Data Source.
◊ Text - Type the control name in the Value eld.
◊ Variables - Select a variable from the drop down. See Variables section
for creation of custom variables.
◊ Data Source - Set the label to pull from a specic row or column of a
specied hosted CSV le.
Select the New Data Source button, a pop up will appear. Enter in the name of the le, a URL where the CSV le will
be hosted, select if the le has headers or not, and then set the amount of times the source information will refesh
in minutes. Once saved, select the source from the drop down menu, more elds will appear. Set the column to the
corresponding column in the CSV le (this will be a number if there is no header row). Set the row to correspond with
the information to be displayed. Leave the Input and Output format empty if the column/row does not have a time
set to it and is just text.
Multiple data sources can be added, edited, or deleted by using the triple dot
menu.
NOTE: The CSV le link must be a direct download link or the le will display with an error in the drop down.
Ex. Box.com
When using a link from box.com, the rst link that can be accessed, is not a direct link. If that link is used, it
will show up as an error. To get to the direct link, select the link icon on the le, this will open a pop up. The
shared link will auto copy, but is not a direct link. Select Link Settings and a new pop up will appear. Copy
the direct link under the New Download and use this within Velocity.
• Font Size - Select the label font size from the drop down menu.
• Font Color - Select a custom color for the font.
• Horizontal Alignment / Vertical Alignment - This will automatically
position the value within the slider eld.
• Absolute Positioned - This will enable the manual placement of the
label within the eld using the Absolute Top and Absolute Left values.
• Absolute Top / Absolute Left - Adjusts the distance from the left or
top of the slider eld.
