About This Manual
This manual explains the operation and applications of the “A” version of the famous API “527”
compressor/limiter. The functions and sonic qualities of the “527A” are identical to the “527,” except
the “527A” includes an improved gain reduction meter and “IN/Bypass” switch functions. Original
“527A” units can be modified so the gain reduction meter functions like the original “527.”
