A/B functionality
Make an A/B comparison by saving the current state of the plug-in.
• Click on “A” or “B” to automatically save the current settings of the plug-in. For example,
adjust settings and select “A”. Then, adjust the settings in a different configuration and select
“B”. Now, you can toggle between “A” and “B” to make a comparison between the two settings.
• Use the arrow button to copy the saved settings from ”A” to ”B” or from ”B” to ”A”.
Sidechain filtering section
The sidechain filtering section provides flexible control over the type of filter, slop and frequency
SC Filter
The SC FILTER knob determines how the sidechain signal is filtered before it triggers the dynamics
processing. This allows for more precise control over what frequencies influence the processor.
The following options are available:
OFF:
- No filtering applied. The entire frequency spectrum is sent to the detector.
D-S (De-Essing):
- Engages a narrow bandpass filter tuned to sibilant frequencies (typically 5–8 kHz).
- Ideal for de-essing vocals, reducing harsh “S” or “T” sounds.
LP (Low-Pass):
- Only low frequencies are passed to the sidechain.
- Use this to make the compressor respond only to bass-heavy content like kick drums or bass guitar.
