Note: The manufacturer is not liable for any damage due to incorrect installation of the hob in
the worktop, in particular gluing the hob permanently to the worktop from below.
Tips for the installer
• It is best to install the hob ush with the kitchen worktop made of stone or ceramic tiles.
• The gasket applied to the bottom of the hob glass ange should prevent silicone from
penetrating under the glass ange. If you need to remove the hob from the opening, use a
sharp knife to cut the silicone around the hob. If the silicone pentrates the gasket and gets
under the hob glass, cutting out the silicone will not be possible and an attempt to remove
the hob may cause the ceramic glass to break.
• The silicone used to seal the edges should be resistant to a temperature of minimum
160°C.
• It is recommended to coat the exposed edges of the worktop opening with a suitable
varnish (such as silicone based varnish), which will protect against moisture penetration.
• Some silicones may discolour the natural stone.
• Strictly adhere to the dimensions given on the assembly drawing, and especially the re-
cess width on which the hob glass ange will rest.
• In the event of a hob failure, please contact the installer to remove the hob from the open-
ing before a service technician arrives to carry out a repair.
