OPERATION
Limit the operating time
In order to increase eciency, the hob is t-
ted with a operating time limiter for each of
the cooking zones. The maximum operating
time is set according to the last heat setting
selected.
If you do not change the heat setting for a long
time (see table) then the associated cooking
zone is automatically switched o and the
residual heat indicator is activated. However,
you can switch on and operate individual
cooking zones at any time in accordance with
the operating instructions.

not displayed during a power out-
age. However, cooking zones may
still be hot!
Residual heat indicator
Heat energy that remains accumulated in the cooking zone after cooking is called the residual
heat. The appliance displays two dierent levels of residual heat. When a cooking zone tem-
perature is above 65°C and the cooking zone or the appliance is switched o, the relevant
cooking zone display will show the letter "H". Residual heat indication is displayed as long
as the cooking zone temperature exceeds 65°C.
When a cooking zone temperature is below 65°C the residual heat indication is turned o.
In the event of power outage when residual heat above 65°C is indicated, the residual heat
indicator will ash when power is resorted. Residual heat indicator continue to ash until the
maximum cooling time has elapsed or the cooking zone is selected and used.

zone as there is a risk of burns
and do not place on it any items
sensitive to heat!
Turn o the appliance
The appliance operates when at least one cooking zone is on. Touch and hold the cooking
zone selection / On/O sensor eld (1) for about 3 seconds to turn of a desired cooking zone
or hold the sensor (1) for about 5 seconds to turn o the appliance. The letter “H” appears on
the display (2) of the cooking zone the was used, symbolising residual heat.
