CONTROLS AND OPERATION GUIDE
MENU OPERATIONS:
Menu Option: “02. Reset Factory” (to restore factory settings):
1. Rotate the PAN wheel to locate “02. Reset Factory”.
2. Press ENTER to conrm.
3. Rotate the PAN wheel to select YES or NO.
4. Press ENTER to conrm or press ESC to return to the main menu.
Menu Option: “03. Delete All Fixture Patch”:
1. Rotate the PAN wheel to locate “03. Delete All Fixture Patch”.
2. Press ENTER to conrm.
3. Rotate the PAN wheel to select YES or NO.
4. Press ENTER to conrm or press ESC to return to the main menu.
Menu Option: “04. Fade Mode”:
1. Rotate the PAN wheel to locate “04. Fade Mode”.
2. Press ENTER to conrm.
3. Rotate the PAN wheel to select ALL CHANNEL or ONLY PAN/TILT.
4. Press ENTER to conrm or press ESC to return to the main menu.
Menu Option: “05. RDM DMX Address Setup” (Add the ability to change xture channel mode via RDM):
1. Rotate the PAN wheel to locate “05. RDM DMX Address Setup”.
2. Press ENTER to conrm.
3. Rotate the PAN wheel to select YES or NO. If YES and you press ENTER, you will enter RDM operation.
4. DMX FX512 will start searching RDM devices and will show the number of RDM devices.
5. Rotate the PAN wheel to select an RDM device. Rotate the TILT wheel to adjust the DMX address and
channel mode of the RDM device. Press ENTER to conrm.
6. Press SWAP to switch the information of the selected device. Press DEL to verify the selected device.
7. Press ESC to return to the main menu.
Menu Option: “06. Data Backup”:
1. Rotate the PAN wheel to locate “06. Data Backup”.
2. Press ENTER to conrm.
3. Rotate the PAN wheel to select YES or NO. Press ENTER to conrm.
4. Press a number button to store the backup le. DMX FX512 can store up to 16 backup les, each
assigned to a number button (1-16). If the LED indicator of a number button is on, it indicates a backup
le is present in that position.
5. Press ESC to return to the main menu.
Menu Option: “07. Data Load”:
1. Rotate the PAN wheel to locate “07. Data Load”.
2. Press ENTER to conrm.
3. Rotate the PAN wheel to select YES or NO. Press ENTER to conrm.
4. Press a number button to load the backup le. DMX FX512 can store up to 16 backup les, each assigned
to a number button (1-16). If the LED indicator of a number button is on, it indicates a backup le is
present in that position.
Menu Option: “08. Send Fixture Update File”:
1. Insert a USB memory stick into the USB port.
2. Rotate the PAN wheel to locate “08. Send Fixture Update File”.
3. Press ENTER to conrm.
4. Rotate the PAN wheel to locate the le to send.
5. Press ENTER to start sending the le.
6. Repeat Step 5 to send another le.
7. Press ESC to exit.
Menu Option “09. Blackout Mode”:
1. Rotate the PAN wheel to select “09. Blackout Mode.’
2. Press ENTER to conrm.
3. Rotate the PAN wheel to choose “All Channels’ or ‘Only Dimmer.”
4. Press ENTER to conrm, or press ESC to return to the main menu.
