Waste disposal
The crossed-out symbol of a mobile waste container indicates that electrical and electronic products
(WEEE) must be disposed of separately from household waste. Please dispose of old appliances sepa-
rately from other waste and take them to a designated collection point for the recycling of electrical
and electronic appliances. If the appliances contain batteries or lamps that can be easily removed by
the end user without damaging them, please separate them from the main appliances before disposal, unless you
wish the old appliances to be reused (old batteries and lamps are collected separately).
Please also note that you are personally responsible for deleting personal data from the device before disposing of
your devices.
Old electrical products may contain hazardous substances that require proper disposal of these old appliances to
avoid harmful eects on the environment and human health. Your end-of-life devices may contain reusable parts
that can be used to repair other products, but may also contain other valuable materials that can be recycled to
conserve scarce resources.
You can either return your appliance to the shop where you originally purchased the product or contact your local
waste disposal centre for information on the nearest authorised WEEE collection point.
Please note that some* distributors are obliged to do so:
when supplying a new electrical or electronic appliance to an end user, to take back the end user‘s old appliance
of the same type free of charge, and
to take back old appliances that are not larger than 25 centimetres in any external dimension free of charge in the
retail shop or in the immediate vicinity;
If oine or online retailers deliver new appliances to private households, they are obliged to collect old appliances
directly from them or to oer return options within a reasonable distance. We therefore recommend that you con-
tact your retailer for further information.
