6. Serial Port Communication and Control
The camera can be controlled through RS232/ RS485 interface; the RS232C serial parameters are as
follows:
Baud rate: 2400/ 4800/ 9600(Prefered) / 115200 bits / sec; Start bit: 1; data bits: 8; Stop bit: 1; Parity:
None.
After power on, the camera performs a self-test. The self-test is finished when the camera zoom lens is
moved to the farthest and then back to the nearest position. If the camera has a saved 0/ Home preset, it
will revert to the ‘Home” position after initialization. At this point, the user can control the camera via the
serial commands.
