AJA Control Panel User Interface For KONA 5
KONA 5 supports three versions of firmware which can be installed as needed to
meet your specific requirements.
4K Firmware
• Supports 4K/UltraHD over 3G/6G/12G
• Supports colorspace conversion
• Supports downstream keyer
• Does not support 8K/UltraHD2 video
8K Firmware
• Supports 8K/UltraHD2, 4K/UltraHD over 6G/12G
• Does not support 4K/UltraHD over 3G, colorspace conversion, downstream
keyer
12-Bit Firmware
• Supports 4K, UltraHD, 3G, 6G and 12G, color space conversion and
downstream keying
• Supports 12G Input on SDI 1 & SDI 2
• Supports 12G Output on SDI 3 & SDI 4
• Supports, 12 bit LUT
• Does not support 8K/UHD2 or 4K Quad Mode

Dynamic Reconfiguration
KONA 5 supports fast reconfiguration between 4K, 8K, or 12-Bit firmwares. Using
this method, you can change your KONA 5 card's capabilities without the need to
reboot your computer. See "KONA 5 Fast Bitfile Switching" on page 26.
The AJA Control Panel application provides an easy to use graphical user interface
for configuration control. See "AJA Control Panel User Interface" on page 28 for
detailed information.
