Term Definition
ACPI
Advanced Configuration Power Interface is a standard for imple-
menting power-saving modes in PC-AT systems.
BIOS
Basic Input/Output System is firmware on PC-AT systems that ini-
tializes system components before relinquishing control to the
operating system.
CAN
Controller area network (CAN or CAN-bus) is a vehicle bus stan-
dard designed to allow microcontrollers to communicate with each
other within a vehicle without a host computer.
DDI
Digital Display Interface is a convergence specification comprising
