ACPI
Advanced Configuration Power Interface – standard to implement power saving
modes in PC-AT systems.
BIOS
Basic Input Output System – firmware in PC-AT system that is used to initialize
system components before handing control over to the operating system.

Controller-area network (CAN or CAN-bus) is a vehicle bus standard designed

system.
